Wood Dragons

Wood DragonsWood Dragons is a weekly group for home-educated children aged from 5 to 12. We meet at the Shared eARTh Learning Project wood-dragons-2site, 2 miles south of Bath. Led by Annie and Helen, Wood Dragons has a dynamic group of home-educating parents who lend their support and share their enthusiasm for an alternative form of education.

Wood Dragons builds on a child’s innate motivation and positive attitude to learning. One of the benefits of the group is the high adult to pupil ratio, which encourages an attitude of shared enquiry and enjoyment of the natural world. Children are encouraged to explore and enjoy their environment, enabling them to think creatively and confidently.  Wood Dragons wood-dragons-3is child-led with opportunities to take risks, make choices and initiate learning for themselves wood-dragons-4providing a chance to discover their abilities without fear of failure or criticism.
